Come rain or sunshine our dedicated detached youth workers are out in the streets of Newcastle to work with any young people, but most importantly ensure the young people are safe. We have a dedicated staff team made up of 10 members who are in various areas of the city, 5 nights a week.
The team take to the streets where young people meet to offer support to the local community, and young people. The staff will work with the young people on different aspects from simply playing sports and games, to providing advice and guidance on areas like drugs, alcohol, and sexual health.
Our team are there to provide safety and support, if you see us out and about in your area don't be afraid to stop by and chat.
We cover a wide area of Newcastle when out on detached/outreach, our current area's are: City Centre (Safer Transport Project) &Throckley. You will see our staff in our uniform which is navy and light blue with our Inspire Youth Tyne and Wear Logo, all staff will have their ID badges on.

At Inspire Youth Tyne & Wear we are extremely proud to be a part of the solution when it comes to ASB. Our detached team are out 5 times a week making sure the young people of Newcastle are safe and trying to prevent as much ASB as possible.
Come summer time you will find some of our staff members around local areas around Newcastle doing pop up detached sessions! What is a pop up detached session you may ask... A few of our lovely staff members spend the day setting up camp in a few different local areas, a gazeebo will be set up with our Inspire Youth banner attached so everyone can see who we are. We will set up a table and bring snacks and beverages for any young people who wish to get involved! Involved with what you may ask... We will bring various sporting equipment so we can play sports with young people all day, even if the young people just wish to sit and have a chat, we are more than happy to help! Of course this is all FREE and ANY young people are welcome to come and join if they wish!
